  • PROJECT: Сoordination of the Regional Training Center on Development and Implementation of Clinical Guidelines and Protocols on Reproductive Health
    DONOR: UNFPA Regional Office for Eastern Europe and Central Asia
    PROJECT GOAL: Coordinate Regional Training Center on Development and Implementation of Clinical Guidelines and Protocols on Reproductive Health and organize Regional Training Course on Clinical Guidelines in Sexual and Reproductive Health in Russian language to support stakeholders in countries of Eastern Europe and Central Asia to establish a systematic approach to clinical guideline development/adaptation/implementation within a national program on quality improvement.
    IMPACT of the PROJECT: The Regional Training Center on Development and Implementation of Clinical Guidelines and Protocols on Reproductive Health was established headquartered in Moldova, successfully coordinated by the Reproductive Health Training Center, represented by Director – Rodica Comendant.    more…
  • PROJECT: Strengthening national system of services provision in family planning
    DONOR: UNFPA Moldova
    PROJECT GOAL: Identify bottlenecks and facilitating factors in the provision of family planning in Republic of Moldova and identify the gaps and disconnections between the process and methodology currently used for Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) guideline development and the process recommended by Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynecologists from UK.
    IMPACT of the PROJECT: RHTC organized and conducted 10 trainings for family doctors in family planning: recommendations, WHO clinical guidelines and protocols.   more…

  • PROJECT: Simplified medical abortion: a pilot demonstration project

    PROJECT GOAL:  The primary aim of this pilot study is to obtain data on the safety and acceptability of outpatient medical abortion without a pretreatment pelvic ultrasound or exam.
    IMPACT of the PROJECT: RHTC team enrolled 70 patients in the first 7 months of the present study.   more…

  • PROJECT: Increasing the quality of abortion care within a comprehensive package of reproductive health services in Transnistria

    PROJECT GOAL: To increase the quality of abortion care within a comprehensive package of reproductive health services in Transnistria, through transfer of good practices of institutionalization of Comprehensive Abortion Care (CAC) model in Moldova.

  • PROJECT: Evaluating and mapping comprehensive abortion care in the Republic of Moldova
    DONOR: WHO
    PROJECT GOAL: Evaluate the achievements, quality of care, and sustainability of comprehensive abortion care in the 6 sites strengthened; Evaluate the nationwide provision of abortion care according to Moldova standards and guidelines and create an interactive map, accessible by the general population, highlighting facilities providing services according to national standards; and, national dissemination workshop for policymakers and programme managers to review the results of the evaluation and mapping and to plan for future facility strengthening.

    PROJECT GOAL: Increasing population awareness on cervical cancer prevention by emphasizing HPV vaccination and increasing the level of knowledge of population and service providers in the field of reproductive and sexual rights: the existing legal framework, practices, rights of socially vulnerable groups, access and quality in safe abortion services

  • PROJECT: Increasing awareness of Moldova’s medical providers regarding cervical cancer screening importance and HPV vaccine necessity, as one of the most important issue in the cervical cancer prevention

    PROJECT GOAL: Improving the situation of preventing cervical cancer by increasing awareness of the importance of preventing this pathology in target groups (female population and health care providers), including HPV vaccination in the pilot region – the central part of Moldova
    IMPACT of the PROJECT: More than 60 family physicians and gynecologists have attended seminars “Increasing awareness of Moldova’s medical providers regarding cervical cancer screening importance and HPV vaccine necessity, as one of the most important issue in the cervical cancer prevention” organized and supported by RHTC, supported by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Moldova and the financial support of UICC (see здесь).    more…

    PROJECT GOAL: Training of obstetricians – gynecologists in Manual Vacuum Aspiration method, counseling and informed consent, increasing the educational level of abortion providers; Protecting reproductive health of women who interrupt their pregnancy by increasing accessibility to high quality abortion services, women’s rights to information and the choice of such services; Informing and educating women of reproductive age in pregnancy termination issue, avoiding criminal interventions, reducing post-abortion complications; Strategic assessment of abortion services in Moldova, with the introduction of protocols, related to Manual Vacuum Aspiration method, in official documents of the Ministry of Health to regulate abortion in Moldova
